Future Proofing the Way We Do Compliance
Through this period of uncertainty, one thing that we can be fairly confident of is the fact we are going to be spending a lot of time indoors over the coming weeks and months! It’s important we embrace the technology we have available to help our clients and their staff stay compliant.
Which is why we’ve upgraded our knowledge base and training available within the system to keep clients busy. We’ve also added a variety of resources, full of all the information needed regarding the current Covid-19 crisis and some ‘Futureproof’ resources. We truly believe that not just the financial services sector, but most other industries will look very different post-Covid, with everyone having to embrace technologies and different ways of working. Therefore, now is a great time to reflect, train as individuals, as well as teams, and think about how we build a business for the future.
Here are a few other things we have done to ensure that we’re helping our clients through this time…
The knowledge base has had a big shakeup, we have reviewed and refreshed all the company overview documents. We have also created a whole load of new resources which can be found in the Knowledge Base, under the ‘Covid-19’ and ‘Future Focus’ tag.
We’ve launched our new Annual Test along with a new Anti-Bribery and Corruption test. Clients can head to the ‘My Training‘ section on our Knowledge Base to check it out.
We’ve added over 20 hours worth of unstructured CPD to the knowledge base this week, from third parties as well as a number of Apricity webinars.
After feedback from our clients, we now have a variety of suitability report templates and guidance, including tips and guides on writing the perfect suitability report and ASR.
Preparing now for future wow!
We’re hosting a webinar, at 2pm on Friday 1st May. We’ll be taking a look at some of the current issues facing advisers, what we think the advice market will look like post-Covid-19 and how we can adapt and look to build businesses of the future using technology.
We have improved the way we communicate with clients, as so much is changing so fast, and so the News Section in the Knowledge Base will be updated at least daily, with everything we need to keep on top of.
For those firms who want some outside help with their Training & Competence scheme, we now offer bespoke support, as a supplementary service to either Lite or Managed ongoing support packages. This service can be delivered remotely (although we also have a face to face option available once the lockdown is over!)
Mortgage and protection rules
Whilst new business may not be at the forefront of clients minds right now, we have had some firms mention an uptake in protection policies. We have teamed up with MCI Mortgage & Protection club, so that Apricity users can access their enhanced rates. They have a wide range of mortgage lenders on their panel and 10 leading protection providers.
While we may have swapped our office for dining room tables and make-shift desks, we are still here at the end of the phone or an email should you need any assistance. File checks are still on our speedy three-day turnaround and if you need any further information on FCA announcements or changes we’re here to help you understand.
And for non-clients…
If you’re reading this thinking “I’m not an Apricity client (yet), what can you offer me?” Well, we are now offering a 90-day free trial of our system. The trial gives users access to all online training and testing (including whistleblowing, GDPR and complaints handling), as well as CPD recording and adviser KPIs. This allows those with compliance oversight to ensure everyone in the firm is remaining up to date with their regulatory requirements, even when not in the office.
